TimePAL 2.0 (early access)

This early release of TimePAL version 2.0 has a workaround for the incompatibility with the 3.3 OS upgrade. I am not particularly happy with the workaround but it seems the only thing that works. I will be in close contact with Palm developer support to solve this in a more elegant way in the future.

Early Release Issues:

I have not had time to change much in the install so it looks and feels like the 1.0 install. The Palm Computing device file (.prc) is the updated version. I do not have extensive testing facilities at home and am just throwing this out there. It worked for me on a Palm III with the 3.3 upgrade.

This is an early release (not even beta). None of the features you will see in the new user interface work yet. The only thing this early release gives you is the ability to sync the Palm Computing device's time to the PC's time (same as 1.0) and no crash (hopefully) in OS 3.3. You are welcome to try out the new UI but there is no functionality behind it.

This is early release software. I am releasing this before I intended to in order to, hopefully, solve this frustrating issue with the 3.3 upgrade. Use this software at your own risk. There are bound to be bugs. If you have questions feel free to email me before installing the software. If you are not comfortable with 'beta' testing DO NOT install this software. If you are not able to survive a crash of your Palm Computing device DO NOT install this software. If you are uncomfortable or unfamiliar with command line options DO NOT install this software. If in doubt DO NOT install this software.

If you have not been scared off by the preceding warnings then...

Installation Instructions:

If you already have the Desktop portion of TimePAL installed you can download just the Palm Computing device file (timepal.prc) and install it to your Palm Computing device using the Desktop Install tool.

If you had to uninstall the Desktop portion of TimePAL to get the HotSync crash to stop happening you can download the entire install program (timepal2.zip) with the new Palm Computing device file and run SETUP.EXE from the .ZIP archive.

If you have other installation questions please email me before getting yourself into trouble. I would rather have happy users without TimePAL than unhappy users with TimePAL.

Any feedback is welcome. Thank you again for your patience.
